Eanna is sooooo cute... Look at her sleeping position...

Anyway, last weekend, we invited my nephew to stay with us. Here are the cousins, having some home-made chocolate chip pancakes with strawberry syrup (maple syrup for me).

This was after we went to Salcedo Market to do my bi-monthly shopping there. That night, we went to my Uncle's place to celebrate my cousin's birthday. Yummy yummy food, as always. Then yesterday, I invited my parents and sibs over for dinner as a post-Father's Day celebration. I prepared steak (yummy...), baked baby potatoes, salad, and pasta with sardines. Totally loved this weekend. I just wished dear hubby was with us. Huhuhu...

Cough Scare

My little baby got me worried last night because of the wheezing sounds she made while sleeping. I was so paranoid that she might have asthma that I didn't sleep the whole night and monitored her breathing, fixing her sleeping position every now and then to make sure that her upper body is elevated.

So today I took a leave of absence to attend to my daughter. I called the clinic but the pedia's secretary told me that the Doc would only be in at around 5 pm. We went to Megamall first (clinic is very the place) to stroll just a bit, as well as buy her a walker. I dropped by National Bookstore to check out what's new and look for the book A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, but it wasn't available. I would have wanted to get myself a copy of this. Too bad. I got to buy me a pair of black jeans too. No shoes, sorry. I also wanted to buy the console I badly needed for our bedroom but I guess it's not meant for us because the barcode was constantly rejected by the cashier's whatever you call it machine.

5 pm came and so we headed to the clinic. Doc told me that Eanna's lungs were clear and maybe I was just too paranoid. He recommended that when she's sleeping, I can "nebulize" her but only using saline, no anti-asthma meds. I was relieved that little baby is not in danger of having asthma, although the doc said it's too early to tell whether she'll have asthma or not. I'll continue to pray hard she won't develop this sickness. I wouldn't want her to experience what I've been through as an asthmatic kid.

Blinds With Curtains?

I have been chatting earlier with friend O and J, and our topic was J's desire to fix her living room. Since lately I've been in the mood to design while O is also busy beautifying their new pad, this topic was "easy" for us. J didn't want to do any major renovations, so we had to work on what she currently has.

This is what I have made so far for her...

A main concern though is the window treatments. She currently has blinds and is quite hesitant to add curtains. O however said she can use both.

Watcha think?

Little Weird Factor

Ack! I really dislike it when my pens here in the office get lost! I misplaced my sign pen and I summoned all (ok, some only) our trainees and asked them to look for that pen. I just couldn't work knowing the fact that something is missing. My staff also helped in looking for this pen because they know that I only sign papers using that one. That's also one reason why I tell the trainees who fix and clean our areas not to move my pens, or at least to put them in places where it's visible (if I left them in a visible area too). I know, I know, it's weird (I admit that). I've been like this since I was little, which is why my sister and I ended up arguing because she has this habit of getting my pens and not returning them. Anyway... hope I see that pen soon.

Prepare to Travel!

My Mom opened up the idea of our family going to Hong Kong this July, and suddenly my plan of "saving because I have overdone my spending this year" just disappeared into thin air. Hello, it's just rare that our whole family will go out of the country (usually we do it by installments, the last time we did was back more than ten years ago noh!), so even if Enrique will not be here, might as well take that opportunity. I'll just probably resist the temptation to go to the Goyard store. Hehehe.

Anyway, as I was thinking of what to bring and all, it dawned on me that I do not have luggage of my own. The one I used before for traveling was my Dad's. Gash. I guess I have to buy something for myself (Enrique has his own) like Delsey luggage. If I'd bring Eanna with me (most likely Enrique will say NO!), then I'd be needing a bigger one. Gash, I am getting too excited for this. Can't help it though!

A tag from Vannie.

The rules are simple. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leave a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

I was in 3rd year college, stressing over the fact that it's the year that would determine whether I would be a SMEG (Sure M.E. Graduate) or I would have to shift to another course. I'm glad I succeeded!

2. What are the 5 things on my to-do list today?

Go to mass.
Pay credit card bills.
Buy Eanna's milk.
Work my ass off so I can go home at exactly 5:30 pm.
Continuously forgive and forget those who have done me wrong.
Be good to others.

3. Snacks I enjoy:

Can you call sushi snacks? Hehehe. I also like chips (Hint of Lime flavor) with salsa and homemade guacamole

4. Place where I lived:

Manila, Mandaluyong, Pasig, and back to Mandaluyong

5. Things I’d do if I were a billionaire:

Travel and try to save the world. Hahaha.

6. People I want to know more about:

Hmmm... My husband. Want to know him more every single day for the rest of our lives. :P Plus of course my online friends.

I'm tagging: JenB, Liv, Concon, Jammy, Che, Melissa
