Football Revival in Pinas

Thank goodness for the Azkals (our Philippine football team), interest and passion for football is renewed here in our country. Though we didn't make it to the Suzuki Cup finals, I am still proud of our team. Like what my hubby said, next time, we will be stronger.

I really really hope that our government does something to uplift our football scene here. We have the physique and agility (plus the heart!!!) to be great football players. Just imagine, our team at the World Cup. Yes, that will come in the near future. I really hope so.

Love the team's color, reminds me of the glass tiles I want for our kitchen walls hehehe.

Anyway....

To team Azkals, MABUHAY KAYO!

I Got Sick

I got sick and had the chills. I was lying in Sofitel Clinic during our Christmas party that I never saw. Yes, in the clinic. All glammed makeup. Emerald green backless dress. Faux fur coat. Platform heels. A staff had to drive my car going home. I almost passed out waiting for my car from the valet. Oh, and two of my staff had to hold me while I walk from the clinic to the hotel's lobby.

Sorry, this is just a short post. I don't want to remember. What I want to remember is the concern and assistance I got from my boss and my staff. That I will be forever grateful.

The Supreme Court today acquitted Hubert Webb and the rest of the accused.

Supreme Court Decision is found HERE.

*Sigh*

Media is having a field day, the defense feels they have clinched victory (bring out the cao cigars!), while the Lauro Vizconde and his supporters suffer in agony. I just feel bad for both parties. Both of them as well as the whole nation are victims of injustice. I really find it scary that NBI had questionable acts in handling this case. Scary talaga!

Anyway, the question now is... Who then are the killers? And please please please haul Jessica Alfaro's ass back here!

Why Am I Blogging Today?

You might wonder how the heck I am updating my blog when I should be working right? Well, it's because I am absent today. ARGH. So I am here in bed typing away.

My whole abdomen was very painful yesterday noon time. It was a sudden pain that I endured the whole afternoon at the office. I didn't want to leave so I just tried not to think about it but it was really painful. Towards the end of the day I gave up, asked for medicine (I didn't earlier because I thought it was gonna go away), and as soon as the clock hit 5:30 I left. I just drove slowly and managed to get home after one hour of driving.

Then this morning I told myself I'll be going to work even if the pain is still there. But I got back to my senses and realized what if the pain will not subside, I'd be forced to stay in the office for 12 hours (yes this is my number coding day). That I don't want to risk. The office is so cold that yesterday both my abdomen and my back were hurting. If I go to the office now I'd be more sensitive to the cold and will most likely not function well.

So what happened to me yesterday after lunch? I honestly don't know. Care to investigate and come up with a theory? Here are the facts:

  • I don't normally eat breakfast, but if I do, it's usually soft-boiled egg. I had that yesterday.
  • In the office I drank water, which is normal right?
  • Had lunch in Almon Marina and ordered soup (beef minestrone), fillet mignon with rice and steamed veggies, and Pellegrino Aranciata (sparkling juice). All normal food.
  • When I went back to the office, I felt that it was too cold, colder than when I left.
  • Brushed my teeth, gargled with Swish, you know, usual routine.
  • Went back to my office.
  • Then I felt the pain in my stomach. It was hard when I poked it.
  • After a while, my back hurt.
  • I endured this for 5 hours. I tried to burp just in case I was just "gas-y" but to no avail.
  • I wasn't overly full. I was even hungry after 5 hours but the pain was still there.
  • Took an antacid and went home.
  • At home, I had dinner but my tummy was still aching.
  • Actually, it's more like my ribs are aching.
The way I described it was this: It was as if my ribs pierced through my organs.

*Sigh*

I really hope I'd get well soon. Again, I want to go to the office while the window time is in effect but I'm scared what if the pain worsens again and I'm stuck in the office for 7 hours or more?

First comes the BB cream, and now comes this latest BB possession of mine...
I have never used a Blackberry before. Yes, I configured my Dad's, but as to usage, I didn't have any prior experience. Anyway, I'm still tinkering with this latest gadget of mine. I have configured some items (save for the email which my company will likely do).

I'm very excited about the push applications/browser capability but I guess I have to know what my phone/data plan is. Don't wanna incur additional charges or be reprimanded this is a company phone hahaha! It's more like I just want to make full use of it in order to maximize the plan. I don't want that my company pays this much then I hardly use it (even call and text) right?

Anyway, I'm still exploring the BB and hopefully I get to like using it. I'll probably be using this for call, text, email, and BBM (BB messenger). If possible, even YM and Ubertwitter. Tehehehe.

MMDA Rules on Coding Scheme

I just want to post this for all dear readers who are confused about the number coding scheme (as I am). These are the rules effective August 12, 2010:
  1. Makati and Las Pinas. No window hours: Number Coding is in effect from 7am to 7pm!
  2. Marikina, Muntinlupa, Taguig, and Paranaque. No number coding. So, feel free to roam around these cities anytime.
  3. Pasig City has window hours of 9am to 4pm (note the 1 hour additional to the normal 10-3pm window).
  4. Pasay City is implementing Number Coding except on the following roads: Ninoy Aquino Avenue, MIA Road, Domestic Road, Portions of Airport Road, Sales Road, Tramo and portions of Buendia.
  5. EDSA, C5, Pres. Diosdado Macapagal Avenue, Roxas Blvd (Pasay), all other National, City, and Municipal Roads have window hours regardless of the city (meaning one can drive via EDSA in Makati any day).
  6. For the rest of Metro Manila (Caloocan, Mandaluyong, Manila, Malabon, Navotas, parts of Pasay, Pateros, Quezon City, San Juan, and Valenzuela) number coding is in effect (window hours of 10am-3pm is also observed).

We bought Christmas gifts over the weekend, and though it was a bit stressful and tiring, I guess it was worth it, hahaha! My goodness the lines in the gift wrapping section of Rustan's was soooo long I felt really bad for the gift wrapping personnel!

Anyway, here's the little girl with the gifts under our tree.

She was very happy with these gifts and I'm surprised that she didn't think all of those were for her! She knows which ones were hers hahaha.

The Christmas spirit is indeed in our home!

Yes I Am Still Alive

I've been working for 3 days already and so far I'm enjoying it. I think I have settled in quite well... or maybe the challenges are still at bay? Hahahaha. The people I work with are doing ok so far, and I am pleased that my staff seem responsible... I think I have a good team, yehey! I just hope that when challenges come in and pours like rain, we're ready with our rain boots on hehehe!

Anyway, we had to make adjustments when it comes to my hat as a home maker. I now wake up earlier to have some bonding time with the little girl before I bring her to school. We're still looking for more permanent travel arrangements when going home but so far we Yaya and I communicate often until they are home (they take a cab for now). Sometimes the little girl looks for me and cries, but I think most of the time she understands the concept of work.

As to the traffic from MOA to our home, well it's a bit erratic. The other night it was traffic so I was home after 1 hour of driving. Yet tonight it was a breeze as I was home in 20 minutes. Hope it's always like this, noh?

So in short, I am enjoying what's going on right now. Tomorrow though... maybe I'll be a little sad. Will blog about it tomorrow though.

Cheers and good night!

A Day in MOA

I brought the little girl with me in MOA (I had to undergo a Medical test there). While undergoing some tests, my darling daughter strolled around with her yayas. They were just walking (and sometimes running around). If we went any earlier I bet the yayas would've brought their running shorts and shoes to run around the complex hahaha. Anyway, off they strolled, and knowing these two, they took a lot of shots!

We would've stayed longer, except that I was feeling the flu symptoms and thus had to go home quickly after having lunch. I couldn't even bring myself to eat properly. Oh well. At least this little girl plus her two angels enjoyed.

I'm just enjoying my last few hours of being a SAHM, and look what I saw online (while here at my daughter's room trying to put her to sleep):

Parang I really like. Hehehe. There is a reddish number (called watermelon) but I don't know, I'm not really feeling it. It's not the kind of red that I would want. I also like yellow but right now there ain't any hehehe.

Here I am wishing again hehehe. It really depends on what's available in Heathrow when the hubby comes home in February/March. Maybe by that time I have saved some moolah for a nice little splurge (and some more like a lovely jeux xbox, merci beau coup). Tehehe.

Why oh why of all days I am struck immobile by this nasty flu. My whole body aches, my throat is a b*itch, and I've got the chills. This happened yesterday.

Gosh, I really have to get well and enjoy these last days before my "new beginning" on Monday. (Window) Shopping, hitting the arcade with the little girl, groceries galore, heck even checking out some ATV Parts with my darling daughter will be fun.

But...

*Sigh*

Even my little poochi-woochi (Eanna) has a mean cold. A little irritable and sensitive, but she's still a darling.

Let me introduce the two yayas of our household, whom Eanna loves very much:

Yaya A - the official yaya. Had a lot of complications when I hired her but I'm glad I stood up for her and defended her. Hehehehe. She simply adores the little girl.

Yaya N - same name as mine, good thing she has a different nickname! Though not her yaya, Eanna is very fond of her too.

Just earlier today before going to school, Eanna told her Yaya N: "Goodbye Yaya N, I love you." Then blew a kiss. Aww, isn't that sweet?

Yes, they did have this mini pictorial. Somehow they are fond of artificial christmas trees like ours, hahahaha!

Anyway, if "all goes well," I guess I have to have faith in them that they will take care of my little one. More about this once confeermed!

Come on, will these even reach our shores?

News about this Fall collaboration can be found here and here. I am really feeling this collection, especially the colors!

Anyway, look at the models. Gotta love their makeup! So very fall: clean and a bit pale face (probably matte makeup over face moisturizer for dry skin), dark burgundy wine0y lips, just a smidge of blush and simple yet lined eyes. LOVE.

The collection is only available in Europe (27 Nov in the UK). The hubby is in Europe. I'm a size XS. Is someone reading this? (Someone=hubby).

Too Much Heaven

The husband counted his blessings...

E: Christmas is near.
V: Before Christmas there is the day when we hammered our head with stone.
E: Why, are you regretting that day?
V: Nope, but maybe you are?
E: I have a beautiful daughter, a beautiful home, a nice career even if you bug me about it, and a beautiful and loving wife. What more can I ask for?

Awww.

Good health perhaps? Hahahha. Kidding.

So to all couples who are in love, yes, one can get too much heaven even in the shortest of conversations with each other.

Indeed, Love is such a beautiful thing.

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

Oh you and me girl
Got a lot of love in store
And it flows through you
And it flows through me
And I love you so much more
Than my life...

I can see beyond forever
Everything we are will never die
Loving's such a beautiful thing
Oh you make my world..a summer day
Are you just a dream to fade away

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

You and me girl got a highway to the sky
We can turn away from the night and day
And the tears you had to cry
You're my life...

I can see a new tomorrow
Everything we are will never die
Loving's such a beautiful thing
When you watching me, the light above
Made for all to see our precious love

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

Love is such a beautiful thing
You make my world a summer day
Are you just a dream to fade away

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as wide as a river and harder to cross

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

Arya Residences and Chef Sau

If I were to win a lotto, I will definitely want to live in a 3-bedroom executive condo in Arya Residences.

We went to their open house last weekend to check out the place (and to make chika with a family friend *daughter actually hehehe). I immediately fell in love. Similar to what I felt when the hubby and I checked out Beaufort of Filinvest. Super salivate. Hahahha.

After looking at the model units, we were off to watch Chef Sau del Rosario's demo: baking muffins and cookies! The little girl truly loved watching and tasting the yummy treats!

Ugh. I kinda look fat here. It makes me think of finally trying those pills but I;m just a little hesitant because of weight loss pill side effects. Should I even risk it, right?

Anyway, Chef Sau's restos include Chelsea Market, Mr. Jones, and the newly opened Bistro Vert. We ate in Chelsea and Mr. Jones and we loved the food. Chachi and I are planning to eat in Bistro Vert. I'm sure the food will be fantastic!
