Being Carefree

I miss those days when I just sat in there, daydreaming about love and the future, being carefree and all...

Dream Summer House

It's free to dream right? I surely hope so because all I ever thought of (and daydreamed about) these past few days is to have a real house. Specifically, to have a summer house in Tagaytay. Yes, it's quite obvious that I went there, even though it was a short trip. And every time I go there, I always wish that I have a nice little summer house of our own. Overlooking the Taal Lake. With this in our backyard....

Goodness, my dreams are grand, aren't they? Hahaha. I have to have gazillions of moolah just to have this, and probably even need discount pool pumps to maintain this personal infinity pool. Has to be heated too. Hahaha.

Oh well, someday soon. I know it, I believe it. We will have our dream summer house one day.

I Need to De-stress!!!!!

Last night I went out with all of my team members to have a six-hour respite after work. It was a fun thing, though I did not like the place that much (snooty snooty snooty hahaha). There was sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and of course, a massage package. All of us availed of these facilities, and yeah, I did have a good time.

What I was hoping for, and I guess it was too kuch to ask, was that they have this place to do some meditating and relaxing without getting soaked and all. You know, just have this room for silence and all. A room filled with zabuton for each of those who just want to shut out the urban life.

New Things at Home

After being angered by our January Meralco bill (all-time high, seriously!), hubby and I decided that we should take a look at our existing appliances and see if any one of these are causing high energy consumption. Imagine, our bill doubled not because of the rate but because of our consumption. Que horror!

Anyways, enough of the drama. We decided to get a new ref (Panasonic with inverter technology) and a new aircon. Never mind that the ref was really big (we need this). Never mind that we got a higher HP aircon. As long as we feel that this will be more beneficial in the long run.

My concern now is where to put the old ones. The ref, we had a buyer who just got it tonight. The aircon, hmmm, tricky. If it can still be fixed then likely we'll just put it in the living room. But other than these two, I think we are in serious need of storage space. Our 60+sqm unit is just too small for us. Either that or we really have a lot of things. Our option is to get those cage storage spaces on the rooftop of our condo. I've been there, seen a lot of stuff stored by owners, from cabinets, to old chairs, and even bikes along with their kuat bike racks!

Problem is, them storage spaces are expensive too. Ack. Either we get one or we just carefully edit our things and recycle.

For now, I'm happy with my ref. The hubby? Happy with his aircon. Hahaha.

The Space Between

One of my all-time favorite songs. More than the tune, the lyrics is just... yeah. It is about my life right now.

THE SPACE BETWEEN
by: The Dave Matthews Band

You cannot quit me so quickly
Is no hope in you for me
No corner you could squeeze me
But I got all the time for you, love

The space between the tears we cry
Is the laughter keeps us coming back for more
The space between the wicked lies we tell
And hope to keep safe from the pain

But will I hold you again?

These fickle, fuddled words confuse me
Like, will it rain today?
Waste the hours with talking, talking
These twisted games we're playing

We're strange allies with warring hearts
What a wild-eyed beast you'll be
The space between the wicked lies we tell
And hope to keep safe from the pain

But will I hold you again?
Will I hold?

Look at us spinning out in the madness of a roller coaster
You know you went off like the Devil in a church
In the middle of a crowded room
All we can do, my love is hope we don't take this ship down

But the space between where you're smilin' high
Is where you'll find me if I get to go
The space between the bullets in our firefight
Is where I'll be hiding, waiting for you

The rain that falls splash in your heart
Ran like sadness down the window into your room
The space between our wicked lies
Is where we hope to keep safe from pain

Take my hand 'cause we're walking out of here
Oh, right out of here, love is all we need, dear

The space between what's wrong and right
Is where you'll find me hiding, waiting for you
The space between your heart and mine
Is the space we'll fill with time

The space between
The space between

Hubby's Coming Home!

Wow, time flies really fast! The hubby is coming home this Saturday after 2 months of work. It's an exciting thing for me because this is the first time we are experiencing his 2:2 rotation, and I think both of us will love this new sign on/off scheme. Yay!

What's nice is that in order for him to be here this Christmas, there will be some minor adjustments in their rotation. In short.... he will have 3 months vacation this time. I can't believe it. Finally, after years of being together, this is the first time we are actually celebrating my birthday... together! We got to spend the birthday of Eanna before, then his birthday the other year, then finally mine. Yay again!

What I look forward to is the chance that we will be spending our 7/11 together. Now that would really be a first!

here's to a wonderful time together! :)

EDIT:
He's home! but poor him he;s sweating like crazy. He said that when he left the ship, Iran was really cold and they practically had to wear thick clothing similar to those of ski pants just to keep their bums warm and toasty. What's worse was that our aircon was busted. Poor poor him. Hahahaha (insert snicker).

Oblivion

Blame it on my new phone (and Merlin!), I spend more time now tinkering with it rather than using my laptop. Thus, the lack of posts (ones with substance) here in my blog. I know, it is rather in a state of coma, barely surviving just like one dependent on a breathing apparatus. I can't promise though that after this post I'd go back to my blogger-heavy days, but I will still try. This after all, is supposedly my virtual place of refuge, where I put all my thoughts, rants and raves. I've seen this blog grow since 2004, changing themes, changing moods, without changing the interests and all (yeah, I am that predictable).

I still blog, but in other venues. Also known as Instagram. Hahaha. So for those who have this app, hope you follow me there too and I will follow you back! My name there is, predictably.... svpineda.

See you there, and of couse, see you here. :)
