    My Beauty Stuff

Just sharing with you what beauty/skincare/haircare/bodycare products that I currently use...

    Bath products:

    • Head 'n Shoulders - this really works, and unlike other similar shampoos, my hair doesn't get dry!
    • Sunsilk Hair Fall Control conditioner - because I shed a lot of hair, it's scary.
    • Dove soap - only Dove touches my skin... naks!
    • Close Up White Now toothpaste - who doesn't like pearly-white teeth, right?
    • Block and White Milk Whitening Antiperspirant - works like a charm, pits don't get dark. Need I say more? Hehehe.
    • Myra Whitening Body Lotion - got this for free during the Mommies' Pamper day sponsored by Unilab. I think I need a stronger lotion since my skin is really dry. Kiehl's creme de corps perhaps? Last time I used this.... college? Hehehe.
    Facial Care:

    • Creme de La Mer - I used this when it wasn't popular yet here in Manila. It was really effective, and I can say my skin was at its best when I was using it. Didn't get another one (till now) because I wanted to try other products. Now I'm back using it. Expensive, but dang, well-worth it.
    • La Mer Eye Concentrate - I was always in search of the best eye creams. From The Body shop, to Ole Henriksen to SK-II. Now I think I found the best eye cream! Really expensive, but again, worth it!
    • SK-II Cellumination Essence - I just really wanted to try this new product. SK-II Facial Essence worked wonders too when I started using it back then, so it;s no surprise that this product is actually delivering! You can feel your skin soften upon application. Love love this!
    • Pond's Gold Facial Wash - just tried it our of curiosity. So far, so good. Can't say if I'll stick to it, but it is a good buy.
    • The Face Shop Eye Makeup and Lipstick remover - Still love using this. It is a must-buy effective remover!
    • Burt's Bees lip balm - been using this for ages. Must say I'm loyal to the balm. Love it.
    Makeup/Nail Polish:
    • Maybelline Pure Minerals Foundation - bought it because of the limited edition Sakura case. So far, so good. I'm happy with this product!
    • MAC Wonderwoman Blush in Mighty Aphrodite - gotta love this. As I mentioned before, worthy alternative to Nars Orgasm blush! And the case... love it!
    • MAC Lipsticks (KInda Sexy and Russian Red) - classics for me. Can't go wrong with Mac lipsticks!
    • Etude LUCIDarling Lipstick - I love this shade! Non-drying, and has this slight gloss without looking too oily. I love this. Must buy too!
    • Etude House Magic BB Cream - can't stop raving about this product! Why would I get more expensive BB creams when this delivers big-time!
    • Etude House Eyebrow Kit - worthy alternative to SmashBox's brow fix. Love the color, fit's my tone and hair color!
    • Max Factor False Eyelashes mascara - got this instead of SmashBox LashDNA coz of the price difference. One of the best mascaras I have ever used. Well, it's probably the best so far.
    • Revlon Matte eyeshadows - Love love the colors that I got (Blue and Blush). Good staying power, when they do fade, they fade quite prettily. Did that make sense? Hehehe.
    • Maybelline eyeshadow - love this compact of 5 green-based shadows. Best for parties and night-outs.
    • Chanel Black Pearl vernis - I just love the shade of this. Gray-ish green-ish blue-ish. Love love love.
    • The Face Shop Red nail polish - not too loud, not too dark either. Just perfect in adding a little bit of sexy.
    • Etude House Spangled gold polish - currently what I'm using now. Love the color, not too sparkly, but still has that matte gild-y feel!
    Scents:
    • Bulgari Jasmine - I've been a Bulgari perfume user for ages. This one is one of my favorites. Suitable for night (for me at least).
    • Balenciaga Paris - I love this scent. Love at first smell. Seriously! Best for day and night. Will make you feel sexy. Well at least I feet that way whenever I wear it!
    • Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom - currently what I wear to the office. Not too loud, but smells really fresh. Ideal for daytime.
That's it! Hope you can share your beauty stuff too!

    And voiceless.

    *Sigh*

I seriously hope I get well soon.

I wish I'd get well so that my little family can go to the park. Have a little picnic. See my little girl play ball with my hubby. See them both fly a kite. People watch. See other little families having their own picnics as well, complete with mommies strolling their babies with their baby jogger city select strollers.

    *sigh*

I really really hope I get well soon. And get my voice back.

More Sakura Love coming up your way!

Just saw that Shu Uemura has the Sakura Collection 2011, and as you know, I love everything Sakura (save for the English name, HARHARHAR). I already got Maybelline Sakura edition powder, so I don't think I'd be getting the Shu powder.

But... yay! Shu has lovely lip shades!

    Eanna's Moving Up Day

We attended Eanna's Moving Up Day in Club Filipino, and wow. Major senti-moment for me as a Mom. I was in tears in all performances of my little darling. Super proudest when she received three awards: Fast Learner Award, Music and Movement Award, and Student Leader award. I'm proudest with the last award because she is the youngest in her group and yet she showed signs of being a leader already.

Here she is singing the Lupang Hinirang

    Ballet Performance

A lot of performances: 80's theme
This Is What Dreams Are Made Of

She's such a poser... model material? Hahaha!

    Receiving her Certificate and Awards

We love you honey, we're so proud of you!
Alin, alin, alin ang naiba... Obvious ba na ako? Hahaha.

This was surely one memorable day to all of us parents. We all went gaga clicking our cameras and taking videos of the kids. Just imagine the number of nikon camera batteries per table, it's crazy! Having low battery gadgets is a no-no at this time!

Pepper Lunch + SCBC Credit Card = LOVE

I just love all the promos/freebies of Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card. High end-ish and generous.

I'm still loving the Seattle's Best promo (gotta love Caramel Heaven) after going gaga over the Kenny Roger's promo, then here comes the latest:

    Image from The Pepper Blog

Love love love. SCBC Card, keep them coming please! With the number of food promos credit card companies give to holders, one must go check out diet pills (and check out side effects, such as lipozene side effects) so as not to balloon that much! It's chow time!

    My Singapore Loot

This Singapore (business) trip, I focused on makeup, skincare, and perfume as my loot of choice.

    SK-II Cellumination Essence

Hello again SK-II! Was thinking whether I should get this or La Mer cream (I miss this cream!) but went ahead with SK-II since Rustan's carries La Mer products anyways...

Can't wait to try this tonight! Will blog about this after a couple of weeks' use, but for the meantime, this is what the website says of this product:

K-II Cellumination Essence (Hydrating Serum) hydrates and refines the surface to boost skin’s natural, healthy-looking glow and to help diminish the appearance of discoloration for a more even tone.

    • It conditions and refines for a skin surface with more even texture and transparency that boosts light transmission within the surface. More light transmission creates a healthy looking natural glow and makes the look of discolorations such as age spots have a less obvious contrast to natural skin color.
    • It contains concentrated SK-II Pitera that helps lead to improvement in overall skin appearance.
    • It permeates quickly into the skin and gives a light and smooth feeling when applied.

    Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom
I love everything about Sakura or in English, cherry blossoms. Love the tea (I miss Struan and Tang's for this!), the color, the flowers, and of course the scent. I'm very happy to have gotten myself this limited edition by Jo Malone (latest release this March!). The scent suits me perfectly, very ideal for day wear. This is a must-try, must-buy!

MAC Wonder Woman Might Aphrodite Blush

Been waiting for this for quite some time so I'm really happy that I was able to get hold of the Might Aphrodite blush. Hope it is a worthy alternative to my Nars Orgasm blush!

Maybelline Spring Blossoms 2011 Limited Edition Compact Case (with powder-foundation)
When I saw this in Watson's I just couldn't resist it. The compact is just so cute, plus I also needed new powder. Love love love the cuteness. Plus, its theme is Spring Blossoms - reminds me of sakura again. Grabbed this image from The Clover Beauty Inn. Read the review too (I got the same color too since like the blogger, I'm an NC-20 in MAC and the one I got (OC1) is just perfetto!

Etude House Dear Darling Nail Polish in Spangled Gold
I've been looking for the perfect gold nail polish and I found it in Etude House! It has that perfect glittery finish without being uhm, too glittery. Love love its opaque coverage, unlike the ones that I saw in Watson's in MOA. Perfetto!

    *****
Yep, no bags for now, but Celine contacted my sister and informed her that lots colors of the luggage tote is arriving tomorrow. AAAACK! Oh well. Next time!

PS: Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Intense
I was gonna get this Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense #40 lipstick in Sephora but I wasn't too sure of the color, if it's the color I wanted (the one Liz Uy was wearing in her preview cover). I asked her through Twitter but she didn't reply (sad). Oh Well. Since it's cheaper here in Manila I decided to think about it again and just get it here. Maybe it's not really the Orange (40) but either than 38 or the 39. We'll see!

    From the Guru Makeup Emporium:

    PPS: Perricone MD Cold Plasma

Came across this cream upon seeing it in Preview mag. Uhm, I was interested up until I smelled it. Really nasty for me, so even though it received rave reviews as a wonder cream, no thank you.

Food Trip in Singapore: Coffee Club

Easiest to blog about is the food experience in Singapore. Here's the last one (hehehe only pics available at the moment) at The Coffee Club, together with Maersk Line Training team (SIN).

This was my meal: Steak with prosciutto-rolled asparagus:

Steak was ok, I expected something more. But the asparagus and salsa are divine.

    Plus this: Seafood bisque
Obvious ba it was so good, I only took a pic when the bowl was empty, heheheh. It's pretty obvious that I will probably need diet pills that work in order to contain my ballooning weight (and appetite hahaha).

Here were the rest of the meals:

Espresso baby back ribs - this one's coffee-good!
Chicken and jalapeno quesadilla - I loved this too!
    My boss had this:
    Steamed fish fillet with tomatoes

    Here's us!

Can't wait till I receive my orders....

Have reserved the Swatch Jeremy Scott Opulence (left-most).

    Plus this...
Swatch The Lady Collection in Arctic Sea

Here are the rest of the colors...

I'm liking the last one as well!

    Go to Swatch.com now!

    EDIT:
Hubby not only gave me 1 but two of these lovely babies! He couldn't pick a color (just like him unable to choose whether to get an rfid or not hehehe), so he got both the old rose and Arctic Sea colors. Love love love them! He didn't get the Jeremy Scott though because he found the Opulence too big for me. True enough, when we passed by and I fit the watch, yep, it was indeed too big!
