Shooting, Anyone?

This is the first time I experienced shooting a real gun (with real bullets!) and I'm glad that I went along with my colleagues!

It was fun! I was really nervous an scared, but it was really a good experience!  I really got scared of the gunshot sounds, plus the guns themselves creeped the crap out of me. Even though I was playing around with two guns, acting like I was a cowboy (yeah, whip out those Bailey Cowboy Hats hahaha) and ready to shoot someone with two guns and all, they made me very nervous.

I don't think I'd take this as a hobby but yeah, this was a milestone for me!

Long Weekend part 2

Ok, so here's the official post. Hehehe.

My parents invited us to to join them over the long weekend at Canyon Cove in Nasugbu Batangas. We've been here a couple of times, and it is a good place to stay, with a nice shoreline plus a big pool for those who don't want to hit the beach.

It was a bit stormy, but nonetheless, the rains didn't stop us from enjoying our swim. In fact, we enjoyed it (a little too much) when rain indeed poured hard!

We had dinner at Dalampasigan, a famours resto nearby. This is a must go to resto when in the area!

The next day, the rains continued

But it still did not stop everyone from swimming!

*Sigh*

I love these kinds of weekends. Just spending time with the family, laughing, enjoying the food, enjoying nature, and enjoying the beach. I really wish we have a beach house. You know, relaxing away from the fat-pace life in the city. Wouldn't it be truly a wonderful life if after a hard week's work, comes weekend bliss.

Stay-cation @ Makati Shangri-La

I desperately needed a vacation after a lot of stressful situations took place at work. However, due to tight finances and at the same time "lack of time" in planning and all, an out of town trip was not possible.

We had a stay-cation instead! :)

We just randomly decided to spend our weekend in Makati Shangri-La where I used my privilege card to avail of room and dining discounts.

As soon as we were checked in, I plopped on the bed and felt all my muscles ease up a bit. Hahaha.

Then we immediately changed clothing more suitable for relaxing by the pool...

As usual, my favorite appetizer...

We enjoyed our breakfast buffet the next day...

Then off we went to the pool again for a swim before checking out.

I love love love our weekend. I wish all weekends were as luxurious as this. Alas, there is an issue called finances. Hahaha.

Misibis Paradise (Part 1)

I needed a good and luxurious vacation badly after unpleasant incidences in the office, and our Misibis vacation plan was really just on time. I don't have to say much about Misibis except that this place is heaven!

It is on the pricier side, but I tell you, for me, it was worth it. I even dare say that my experience there is much better than in Boracay! That or I must be getting old, because I really appreciated the fact that the place was really relaxed and serene. I loved their pool - it was kid-friendly and I had no worries about Eanna swimming by herself (with me of course, watching her!).

We were warmly welcomed by the people - I love them! They were so friendly, warm, and accommodating. Best of all, I really felt their sincerity.

THE ROOM
Let me start with the villa where we stayed. It was spacious, clean, and simple. Yep, simple but it was elegant!

I love this bay window - the sleeping area of Eanna. This was a stolen shot - I looked funny because I was smiling by myself. Hahahaha. Looney or googoogaga over the place!

The bathroom was very spacious, I wished I had a bathroom as big as that!

I really am easy to please. I love the bathroom! Only concern was the tiles can be slippery, so you gotta be careful. It would have been nice if good flooring was used, such as use of a mannigton laminate perhaps? love the bethroom nonetheless!

Long Holiday

It's Holy Week and we have decided to just stay in, reflect, and then spring clean the house.

I was hoping for a solemn weekend (at least from Thursday to Saturday) but it seems this will not be the case, as the house seems to be as busy as a beehive. Not to mention hearing the Plants vs Zombies sound effects and all - thanks, little girl. She's all hooked up with this game (including myself - guilty as charged) that when we had a short trip to the mall before they closed, she wanted to get a Plants vs. Zombies custom t-shirt! Oh well. Hahahaha.

However, I really want this to be a relaxing one. If not relaxing, at least fun long weekend. Don't want to think about work, don't want to think about anything except having fun and enjoying the day with my family. That's what matters after all.

So here's to a meaningful weekend to all of us.

Weekend @ Nasugbu

I'm down with a cold (and sore body) right now, but it's ok, because the main culprit for me being sick was a really pleasant one... a weekend trip to Nasugbu, Batangas!

It was a major major afterthought one early Saturday morning when the little girl suddenly said that she wanted to go to the beach and play with sand. Hubby, being very eager to please our dalring, told me to book asap for an overnight stay. And so I did.

It was a trip well worth it! The little girl enjoyed playing at the beach, while we enjoyed eating, hahaha. Got some T-bone steaks and crabs for dinner! The next day, we hired a boat for us to have a boat ride. We loved every minute of it!

Who wouldn't want this every week right? Goodness, all these weekend bliss makes me crave for more. If only we had enough moolah then I would love to do this every week, going to all fab places in the Philippines!

Still in the Philippines, but yeah, I'm sooo very looking forward to this trip!

Anyways, need to rest now. Gotta get well because I can't afford to be on sick leave again (workaholic talking). Hahahaha!

Ace Water Spa in Pasig

I know might be too late to share but guess what, Ace Water Spa in Pasig is now open and has a grand opening promo! Check this out!

I knew about Ace Water Spa years ago but it was a little too far from home. Then last year, there was a building near my parents residence that was being built... it's the Ace Water Residences (or whatever it's called), and in that condo there will be an Ace Water Spa. That got us thrilled!

I'm really happy that Ace Water Spa is now nearer to home. I told my officemates yesterday that it's 5 minutes away from our place, but the 3 minutes is the time going out of our parking lot hahaha.

So today, I will be with some of my colleagues to try out the water spa. I'm bringing along the little girl too. I'm sure she'll enjoy. Hopefully this type of spa will soothe my tired body (and mind hahaha) plus help in slimming down (together with best weight loss pills for women of course hahaha).
