Night Out at ICON

My sister, BFF, and I went out last night just to unwind and catch up on things. We first had dinner at BFF's place - Pizza, Siomai, Lumpiang Shanghai, Chips, and of course, a lovely bottle of French Chateauneuf du Pape wine (in short, LOVE).

We chatted away until we decided it's time for us to hit the club and go to ICON - the previous Where Else in Intercon Hotel. Since my sister's friend is the part-owner, we had the "privilege" of staying in the VIP area. I love the place! We were a bit tipsy already from all the wine hehehe so we just had a drink each. I ordered Lychee Martini, as it's been a while since I last had that! Before it was time to go we decided that we should do this more often and do some dancing too. Hehehe. No problem with me!

Unfortunately, we were unable to have pics of ourselves. We did got photo-ed by their house photographer so I'm still waiting for that one pic. But of course, before I went to sleep I just took a snapshot of what I wore...

Black Dress: Zara
Snakeskin Shoes (4 inches hahah!): SM Dept Store
Bag: Chanel
Gold Cuff: Urban Bazaar in Rockwell
Flower Earrings: c/o sister
Gold Necklaces: Forever 21

I love the necklace I bought in Forever 21. Here's a closer look (pardon the double chin and all hahaha)
And the cuff bracelet (I love this too)
It's a combination of matte (textured) and shiny. Love it!

Anyway, it was a really fun way to spend the Friday night. Good company, good food, good drinks, good conversation. Definitely this will be a regular!

My True Me

The "True Me" result... Hmmm... yeah, possibly true.

The True You Values Harmony

You want your girlfriend or boyfriend to be more relaxed, calm, and composed.

With respect to money, you spend as little as possible.

You think good luck might come your way, but if it does you'll be so surprised you'll burst out laughing.

The hidden side of your personality tends to be methodical in your ways - with trouble adapting to the rules of society.

You are tend to think about others' feelings a lot, perhaps because you are so eager to be liked.

When it comes to finding a romantic partner, you base your search on information from your friends.

As to the money matters... well, yeah, I try to contain my spending habits (that's why I don't have an RV and thus no need for rv loans). I don't think however I spend as little as possible. I spend just what I feel is right. Splurge a little, save a bit. In short, still living within my means!

The Kind of Sushi I Am

Hmm... Ok, salmon it is next time I order! (I usually prefer having tuna sashimi than salmon hehehehe).

You Are Salmon Sushi

You are strong willed person who loves to try new things. You are highly adventurous.

You don't like being told that you can't do something. You resent too many rules.

You have an appreciation of all of life's complexities. You enjoy contradiction.

You notice subtleties more than most people. You have a discerning palette.

The Kind of Home I Should Live In

Rather than look for an rv insurance quote (what do I need that for/), I visited Blogthings again to check on what's the latest quizzes. I missed out on a lot! But anyway, here's one...

You Should Live in a Traditional Home

You are a down to earth and conventional person. You are happy with a pretty standard life.

You don't feel like you have to reinvent the wheel. The wheel is pretty darn great as is.

You always go for quality whenever possible. You are not easily dazzled.

You prefer possessions, ideas, and friends that stand the test of time. You're old fashioned that way.

Somehow I was thinking... Modern Scandinavian or Modern Glamour. Hahaha. Anyways, I finally finalized the color scheme for our living/dining/kitchen/foyer area. I'll blog about it next time, but i'm really excited. Can't wait to show the swatches I got to my dear husby!

My Style (So Far)

My fashion style so far (if ever you can call it style hahaha) is very laid-back and well, not too glamorous and stylish. It's just that it's so hot right now that I can't seem to wear jeans and pants. Either I wear a dress or denim shorts and a top (mostly sleeveless). This is one of my favorite looks so far (tiangge mode hahaha).

Unicorn Shirt: Forever 21 (Heritage)
Denim Shorts: Promod
Olive Bag: Forever 21
Blue green Swarovski bracelet: (cousin-in-law made it for me!)
Sunnies: Ray Ban aviators
Pink Sandals: SM

Yeah, I gotta wear shades for this "pictorial" because I've got now makeup on (as if!) plus I have those nasty dark under-eye circles. I love love this "unicorn" shirt which i got from Forever 21. Super weird though, because it's the smallest size but it's kinda loose, so I guess it's really supposed to be that way. And I love my olive-colored bag too. Hehehe.

That's my current uniform so far. Do I look like someone who needs assistance from a roadside assistance club? Hope not hahaha.

This is what I usually wear on days when a little dressing up is needed..

Dress: NU Look (Singapore)
Denim Jacket: Mango
Denim Shoes: Pretty Fit (Singapore)
Cuff bracelet: Urban Bazaar Rockwell
Olive Bag: Forever 21

Dress: Coeur Clothing
Pink Sandals: SM
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Watch: Swatch (love this!)
Sunnies: Ray Ban Aviators

My dearest girl beat me though. This is what she wore today, when she just stayed at home...
Dress: SM
Leggings: Zara
Taray!

Masculine Wash... Seriously?

I came across this billboard about the Freshman Masculine wash. I was driving so I couldn't take a picture of it. I did find one in Jonas Diego's Blog:

Equal rights, right? There's a feminine wash so there should be a masculine wash too! I really don't know the proper reaction to this new product. Should I buy for the husby to see his reaction? Hahahaha.

Equally funny though is the tagline...
Clean and Fresh as She.

Craziness. Hilarious too! But seriously, there's just too many vanity products here, and they're targeting men too. At least a good sign is that people are really getting conscious of their hygiene. But what's next, testosterone cream? Or is that available too now?

Home Magazines and Yes

It's the start of the month, and one of my rituals is to buy my favorite magazines. Here are what I got so far:

Real Living - the Budget Issue
I still haven't read the magazine in depth but based on what i have browsed so far, this issue is a must-read for us home owners who want to have stylish homes without breaking our budget!

My Home - Small Spaces
I read this first and I must say that I LOVE this issue. We have a really small space and the magazine has featured small homes that are styled the way I want my home to be styled. This is definitely a must-read and my favorite issue for the year so far!

Yes Magazine - John Lloyd Cruz Special
And of course, I will not pass the opportunity to get a sneak peak at the home of my ultimate (well, maybe not) celebrity crush! I already read the cover story, and I must say their coverage was pretty much extensive. Love this issue. Oh, not only that, the issue also covers the story of the late Victor Ebarle Jr. I still do not have the heart to read it though, because I know that I might get teary-eyed.

Anyway, I guess this is enough to last me for half a month. Next batch of magazines will be about fashion: Preview and Mega. Can't wait to get my hands on them! I really love reading magazines. It would have been a perfect Gift for the bride when i got married but sadly no one gave me a subscription. Well, I didn't ask for it though hahaha.
