A Very Special Love

This is my favorite local movie so far.

Thanks to John Lloyd Cruz! Hehehe, ok it's not only because of him, although it largely is because of him. The movie is a really nice feel-good movie with lots of kilig moments, scenes that would surely bring you back to the time when you are a teener, very hopeful and optimistic about love. Well, I still am, though, even though I'm no longer in my teens (age doesn't matter though!). The plot is very simple, but it is stranegly appealing and for me, even better than the other local movies that try hard to make the plot so intricate but leaves a lot of loopholes.

The acting of Sarah Geronimo is just superb, very natural. I have read in other reviews that she was over-acting in the film, but I strongly disagree with that. There's one scene played over and over the TV (part of the trailer) that I at first thought she was OA (the part when she said "Sir, gaano ka-close?") and got a little turned off with her acting. But in the movie, that OA-effect was that, just OA-effect, because that scene in question is actually just part of the bigger scene. Spolier: it's just a daydream. That scene was actually funny. Note, I admit I'm a fan of Sarah, but Sarah as the singer. Now though, I like her too, as an actress. More is in store for her. She's very blessed indeed!

Now for John Lloyd... my Rovic... Nyahahaha. I was giggling like crazy I almost forgot that I'm married. Hahahaha. Seriously, his acting is good, as always. The movie maximized the fact that he is very good-looking, very handsome, very charming, and all the positive very's anyone can describe a guy.

I left the movie house with a smile on my face. From ear to ear. And I'm 100% sure I'm not the only one who did.

I was hoping that because of the bad weather, the number coding will be suspended. It wasn't.

*Sigh*

Option A: Don't go to work
Option B: Take a cab (and take the risk of not getting one either going to work or going home)
Option C: Go to work early.

Guess what option I took?

Speaking of the Rainy Season

... Our balcony has been battered by the storms! Poor herbs, poor plants, and poor furniture! Good thing I resisted buying some outdoor stuff, because these too would have been bombarded by the wind and rain. I thought of getting patio furniture covers but maybe that's a little too extreme a measure. Besides, our balcony is small anyway, and our "furniture" isn't really that grand. Hahaha. I just hope that our batibot chairs will withstand this season.

Because of the continuous rain showers and cloudy skies, our helper has complained that she cannot dry our clothes properly. Though we have a washing machine that also serves as a dryer, one of our "rules" to save energy / electricity is to minimize use of certain equipment, such as turbo broilers, dryers, and even aircons. However, because of our rainy season, we might be compelled to use our dryer, else our clothes would smell a little "different," if you know what I mean. Hopefully, the sun starts to shine again.

Recap Of Their Vacation

I'm talking about my family's trip to Hong Kong last week. You know, that trip that I looked forward to, only to find out that I couldn't join them because of our office seminar. Which, because of my extreme allergy I was unable to attend anyway.

Ok, stop the ranting and on with the topic. They had a huge blast, and I was really jealous of the bags that my Mom and my sister bought. Mom got a tan Jeanne Goyard, while dear sis got herself an LV Damier Salea. What they were too happy about was their loot from H&M. They bought almost anything and everything sold, except of course men's jewelry because my Dad wasn't into those things. Sis got around 5 rings (one I just had to get) among other accessories. They got me a nice little black clutch, plus shoes and a skirt for our strawberry shortcake. Now I really can't wait till dear hubby and I go there. Again, I wish by that time he'd be bitten by the shopping bug, so he won't mind it that we spend the whole time shopping like crazy.

I'm so loving this dress (can be over jeans too) I got from Una Rosa.

I love the color (dark blue and somewhat blackish). Soft fabric plus very comfy to wear when just lounging around the house...
