Cheaper Alternative

Last weekend, I chanced upon the YSL Muse Bag in Maroon, and I immediately fell in love. Bordering on obsession, actually.

Then I went to Greenbelt 5, and got to see some Balenciaga bags again. No giant city bags, but the thought of coveting a city bag streamed through my thoughts. I really want one. Wish list!

While strolling though, a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag caught my eye.

It is a cheaper alternative to YSL or Balenciaga. Which color should I get though?

Eanna Going to Preschool?

I am amazed at how young babies (yep, I still call them babies) are enrolled to Preschools as early as 15 months old. Is this the trend nowadays, and is this good for the child? I've been researching lately on early education for kids and what I have read so far are the disadvantages of early schooling. Well, probably because of my sentiment on this topic too. I myself do not believe in too early schooling, probably because I am not 100% sold on what others believe, that the early a baby starts, the earlier and the more advanced he/she will be.

I mean, I started going to school at 5 years old, that's Prep. Then at 6 I went to Grade 1. Now, there's Nursery, there's Jr. Nursery, Sr. Nursery, Kinder 1 2 3, Prep, before reaching Grade School.

I will still continue researching on this mater, and actually I am opening up tot he idea of homeschooling during Eanna's pre-school years. If however husband and I decide to enroll her next year (ugh, 2.5 years old? She's still a baby!!!!), here are my top choices (based on what i read online):

1. Explorations Pre-school
Simply put, there are three main considerations when planning our curriculum. First, we take into consideration the child's developmental level. Second, for optimal learning to take place, children actively interact with people and materials in their environment and reflect upon these interactions. And third, there is an interaction between thinking and feeling: we pay equal attention to teaching skills and knowledge and attitudes and values.

2. Creative Learning School - where my brothers went and my nephew is currently "studying"

At this stage of your child's development, learning is done through a happy combination of song, dance and play. The child goes through sensorial and experiential activities as well as readiness lessons for Reading, Language, Science and Mathematics. Manipulative excercies for finger dexterity, body movement and oral language are all done in a playful manner. The emphasis in this level is on social adjustment.

3. Lincolnshire Internationale Preschool
LIP opens its door for children to a world of

VALUES EDUCATION
INDEPENDENCE
CREATIVE GROWTH AND LEARNING
CRITICAL THINKING PROCESSES
SOCIAL AWARENESS
4. Riverport Pre-school - This is the pre-school run by hubby's relatives, and it is conveniently located in their compound - where my in laws stay (aka hubby's former home). I heard that it is a good school, and more importantly, tuition fee is free. I hope! Hahahaha.

5. Poveda Learning Center/St. Poveda College - for Kinder onwards. Of course, I studied here and would want Eanna to study here as well.

Gash... Sooner or later I have to face the fact that Eanna is really growing up. Ack, I want her to forever be a baby! Hahaha. Well, she will always be my baby.

Only One Awake

I'm the only one awake at this house now. For some reason, I am enjoying this little peace and calm here in my very own home. No loud TV, no sound in the kitchen, no Eanna blabbering and going around, no helpers talking. Just the sound of me typing, plus the sound of the outside world (my balcony door is open).

I just came home from dinner (and a round of drinks) with my friend C, and I feel so weirdly happy now. I don't know, maybe it's because of the good company I had, the dress I wore tonight (thanks, BC Manila for an awesome dress), an well, most probably because of the thought of my husband.

*Sigh*

Yeah, that's probably it. You know, the feeling that no matter how far away he is from our family, no matter how it feels that I am alone tonight, somehow I find comfort in the fact that I know, believe, and feel that my husband is thinking, nay, dreaming of me tonight, and that my longing for him pales in comparison with his longing to be with me.

Gash, I am yet another woman in love. Friend J commented that, especially when I recently changed my FB profile pic to that of me and hubby's wedding pic. Hahaha.

Now I can't wait for 8 more weeks. He'll be home by that time. And I know we're gonna have so much fun together. I look forward to celebrating three years of being husband and wife. And next year, I look forward to our very first celebration of our bf-gf anniversary. Many find it weird why we are so attached with our bf-gf anniversary, probably even more than our wedding anniversary. But it's ok. I know only the two of us can understand why.

I love you my husband. I really really do. And I miss you too.

... and when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby, it helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky....

What's For Eanna?

Eanna's second birthday is coming up, and though there will be major party (at this time) during her special day, I plan to indulge her with a lot of stuff. Clothes, shoes, and probably some toys too. Oh, yeah, new books for her too. I don't know if I will give her new videos, but if ever, maybe new videos of Strawberry shortcake again, plus maybe Dora? I have yet to ask Mommy friends too. hehehe. I was suppsoed to treat her to a movie... UP, but she got sick, and i wasn't sure if she'd behave too inside the moviehouse. We'll see. or maybe I'll just wait for hubby so that he'll be with us for Eanna's first movie exprience.

*Sigh* My little baby is growing up already. She knows what she wants, and what she wants and does is what I want and do! Hahahaha.

Of course, other than material things, I will shower her with all the lvoe I can give her. Gotta fill in for E too, you know. *Sigh*

Seems that I really am attuned to the earth, and everything autumn. Funny thing is I haven't experienced this season. Maybe in my past life. Hahahaha.

Your Soul Is Connected to the Fall

You are a somewhat sensitive soul with a tough exterior. You are street smart and wise about the world.

You have the heart of a poet, but you're not too eager to let anyone else see it.

You are very creative and deeply talented. You are still looking for the perfect outlet for your expression.

You embrace change and think the cycles of life are beautiful. You don't shrink away from the darker elements of life.
