Maybe it's the rug, which I have long wanted to get for our area.
Right now our color scheme is jade-y cream-y orange-y and i think I intend to keep this scheme (it goes with my investment painting hehehe), but I think this kind of set up will suit ours as well. and the rug will not be out of place!

No, it's not the rug. I believe that would be the overall look of the living room. The white wall, the curtain, the lamps, the couch and the throw pillows. They just complement each other. The rug is eye-catching, but I think it's not appropriate with the look.
