Relish: The New Resto along Valero

Last Friday, my Dad told us to join them for dinner in Relish, a new resto in Valero St, Salcedo Village. Since this is owned by the three Almario sisters, we have expected the interiors to be awesome (it is), and of course hoped that the food is of good quality and well-priced.

As to the food, we didn't eat that much (E and I at least) because we were in the Manila area late afternoon, and I was really hungry we just opted to have dinner (of crabs and shrimps and lato hehehehe) in Dampa along Macapagal St. What we ordered was the artichoke dip.

The dip was creamy yet you will not feel "nauumay" unlike those other cheesy dips offered by other restos. The dip came with a generous number of toasts so you don't have to order another set of toasts to finish the dip. My parents ordered fish and kebabs and they said that it was good. I trust them when they said that as they weren't that easy to please when it comes to food hehehe. As for drinks, we didn't get to try much because my Uncle brought a really nice French version of Chardonnay. Crisp, light, and perfect. His daughter however ordered the virgin mojito and said it tasted good too.

I promise the next time we'd eat there I'd give a more in-depth report on the food, hehehe. They offer a good selection, (I will try the steak for two next time!) and the prices are, well, let's say Greenbelt and Serendra type of price range.

Now for the interiors... With the Almario sisters, you'd know the interiors will look great. And yes, Relish is a cozy place to be in. It's gray interiors laced with white, black, and chrome give you a subtle glamour yet not intimidating atmosphere. I love the flowery mural where the area for entertainment is. Check out Kate Torralba on the keyboard and singing as well. Her voice is smooth and sexy, I must say!

Overall, I highly suggest that you check out the place. Ideal for friends, family, and of course, ahem, dates!

i love their Chef Rodel Salad!!!! its a complete salad meal its like a salad nicoise type but on a refreshing side because of the honey dijon dressing and caramelized apple plus the cheese balls with nuts specially how they cook the egg its so rare seeing a wax stage type of egg in a salad. some people may not notice that but for me it wont miss my sight im a fan of Relish now!!! ill try the Beef Belly and Roasted Chicken next time because my friend told me its the best and their Hickory BBQ Pork Belly!!! im beginning to love Relish now! not only by design but with great food!!!! Cheers!

How great is it to have a place that can cook and prepare your food so quick. You may not even had a few sips of your drink and viola! Your food is served hot! I agree with Gillian, I especially LOVE the Chef Rodel's Salad. I am not so fun with salads but my gosh when I tried the salad it was a meal by itself. It was so good that I had to go back again and again for it. Every time my friends and I would decide to eat we would always be thinking of the roasted chicken, CHEF RODEL'S Salad :)(my favorite), Hickory bbq belly, and chicken salpicao. I have yet to try their beef belly but i am sure it will be a delight! Looking forward to more exciting and good food at that place. It's amazing to see a small quaint place that looks expensive but infact affordable and the FOOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!! A must to try :)
