A Tale of Two Slippers

We were so excited when we bought Eanna's first Havaianas for our Boracay trip. i really wanted something white, so even if it didn't rally look girly, I still got this for her...

Unfortunately, she only got to wear this for less than an hour before she (or rather, her Papa) lost half of the pair. He was hurrying to go back to our room to freshen up for our friend S's wedding, that he didn't realize that one was already missing.

The hubby and I looked for it and everyday, we went out to check at the reception area if a good soul gave it to them. I guess there weren't any souls that good enough, hahaha.

We felt uneasy buying her another one, so we didn't.

Then one night while waiting for our relatives for dinner, Eanna's heel started to peel because of the (cheap) shoes she was wearing. Poor darling of mine. I couldn't endure the fact that she might get hurt further, so I decided to get her something. Alas, the Havaianas store was the nearest to us. And off we went.

I really wanted a pinky girly one this time, but of course, she just had to choose what she liked.

And so we got this...

I actually liked the color. Turquoise. Then it dawned on me that the design included strawberries, plus there were strawberry pins on the straps. Eanna loves Strawberry Shortcake, so maybe that's the reason she chose that no matter how hard I tried to persuade her to get the pinky fairy one.

Anyway, she's been wearing it for more than a week now and she loves them. Only wanted to wear these. Up until she had her Pedipeds of course. Hahaha. But i don't think she'll ever tire of wearing them.
