Nasugbu Church, Batangas

It has been a long time since I last visited the Nasugbu Church. Imagine my surprise when I went inside and saw a really grand setting...

We went there last Thursday for Mass; it lasted for more than 2 hours complete with Responsorial Psalm that was sung. Not only the response, but all psalms. Then the "Washing of the Feet" plus a small procession. It was ok, except that I was distracted by a million bites of huge mosquitos. Hope they do something about this though, because there are a lot of parishioners here.

Anyways, I checked The Nasugbu Church website and found better pictures...

Altar

Entrance

The Bell Tower and Carillion Bells from France

I still wonder how all the paintings on the ceilings were installed / made. Michaelangelo style or something easier, like tarpaulin or wood panels painted first before installed? I still don't know, but those painting were surely very intricate and detailed. Check out the website and you'll see what I mean.

It really is a grand Church, and must have cost at least a million. It is a good place to visit if you are in the Nasugbu-Calatagan-Matabungkay area.
