I started taking Yoga way back when it wasn't the "in" thing to do, that was sometime in college. There were very few classes offered and the prices were too inhibitive, so after a couple of sessions I just decided to buy some vcds and books and do yoga at home. For some reason I stopped doing this and only just once in a while did I remember going back to my "favorite" form of exercise and relaxation.
Now that I have some spare time in my hands and my belief in my need to tone my body and finding inner peace (NAKS!) I decided to start Yoga again. I'm still deciding on where to take classes (just a couple of sessions) because right now the schedule of the right type of yoga level for me does not jive with my "mommy" schedule. So again, I downloaded yoga videos (thanks torrent) and started my sessions at home.
And I am loving it!
I am still a work in progress again (somehow I became inflexible after years of not practicing) and a few poses are a challenge, but I am getting there. I really prefer my yoga sessions. I mean, time passes by quickly and before I know it, 1 1/2 hours have passed. Whereas droning (yep, droning) in the gym seemed like forever when I have only ran in the treadmill for 5 minutes. Hahahah. I still go to the gym, but no longer everyday. Twice a week at least, maximum of 1 hour. Yoga? Everyday.
Now all I need is to get myself this...
I've been slaving myself by not using one hahaha!
Love love love it.
Anyway, for those who want to do yoga at home, try the "yoga for women" video. Very nice.
