Early Morning Rant

And I thought last night was gonna be a relaxing night. But no, somebody had to spoil the otherwise near-perfect day!

Ok, here goes. Last week, Eanna's Yaya told us that she plans to leave because she will take the TESDA test this May. I was stressed by that, because that will only give us around two weeks to look for a replacement right? And out original agreement was for her to leave in June (she said this one is a different story. This May thing is another opportunity). One good thing was Eanna's former Yaya has confirmed with hubby that she will come back to us this 30 April. Seems al good right?

Then two days before, Yaya said that the exams will be on 04 May. I just shrugged it off and repeated that she will not leave until her replacement is here.

Now yesterday, 30 April. I was really disappointed that former Yaya did not come as expected and agreed, but I didn't say anything. Then while I was in bed already, Yaya told me that she's leaving tomorrow night. I told her she can't because there's no replacement yet. What ticked me off more aside from her being insensitive and irresponsible about the whole thing was when she said "Ate, nung pumasok naman ako, hindi sinabi sa akin ni Ate Suzy na kapalit ako ng Yaya, ang akala ko eh kasama lang ako." What BULL. Ano feeling niya, kailangan ko ng assistant ng Yaya??? So at that moment I told her to pack her bags and leave.

I called up my Ate Suzy ranting about the whole incident, and she was shocked that the Yaya said that, because she was even the one who presented herself to Ate Suzy, seeking for employment. Duh talaga!

That Yaya just "used" us and made us her personal bank. Imagine, I paid for her travel going here, she joined us end-Feb, and left with less than 2 months of work. Prior to her coming to us, she already requested for a full month advance, which though I was uncomfortable with, just gave in, thinking since she's from our province and knows our family, she'd do good anhyway. We bought her clothes, we gave her additional advance for her toiletrries and all, plus other advances to buy her personal clothes as well. Then her Mom asked for an advance again from my Lola, who was gracious enough to give money without me knowing about it initially (Grr)! So now, since her advances were already "served", she's leaving?

Our other helper was equally irritated because she was also begging her not to leave because she knows about the June arrangement, but that Yaya just told her "wala ka kasing pangarap eh." Ouch, noh? I just told our helper that she shouldn't think that way because in our household, being a housemate does not make her less of a person, and she wouldn't know, maybe I'd sponsor her studies one day (if she proves to be good to us). She just comforted me by just saying that I should just let this pass and that it's the Yaya's loss, since both of them know we've been treating them so well and been very patient with them. I just told her not to be like that Yaya because all the "bad" things you do to others will come back to you. Too bad for her, this incident had to happen. She was supposed to go on avacation for 4 days to attend their province's fiesta next week, but she had to cancel.

Oh well, like what our helper said, life will go on. It's really nice of her though to assure me that she can do the job of taking care of Eanna as well as the house. I',m not so sure about that though, hehehe. We'll see. And I hope that Eanna's former Yaya will come back as soon as possible.

don't worry mommy you are not alone... three hours ago my yaya for one week just left me. after a month of negotiations for the rate and arrangements she just left.

around 4:00p.m. she approached me and asked if she can go out for a day off. a day off?!!! at 4:00p.m.?! considering that my hubby is in the province today!!! i asked her why. she said that her boyfriend has a headache and has been insisting that she go to payatas to take care of him. duh?! he even instructed her to leave me if i don't allow her to go. i calmly told her, go upstairs to your room and think about what you are telling me. come back after an hour and tell me your decision. i am not afraid of loosing you (since i am a full-time mom now).

after an hour she came back and told me that she is leaving. her boyfriend needs her! sooo i let her go. no use talking to somebody who is insanely in love.

it's her loss.

thanks for dropping by my blog. it's a good relief however that the old yaya came back to us last sunday, and the newer one, the one who "abandoned" me for a couple of days last week, also came back last saturday, begging me to take her back. so i did get both, but gave them a "friendly warning."

but this yaya i talked about in my post... kainis talaga. my Grandma just told me to forget about it kasi they now know that person 9and family's )attitude. i'm glad na rin that she's not part of our household anymore.

Good for you mommy vannie! I think you cannot say that you have been a mom without encountering "yaya" concerns:-)

Sabi ng mother ko, in God's time darating din ang perfect match nating yaya... just like our hubbies diba...
