Probably when I was single, yep, I would without a blink. But now... Ack. Temptation, noh? It's been a while since I indulged myself with a luxurious cream. Ack, ack, ack.

Eanna's New Hairdo

Eanna's hair has not been cut ever since she was born. So now that it's summer and her hair is down to her waist, I decided that she should have her first haircut... courtesy of ME. Yup, I wasn't sure if she'd sit well with other people cutting her hair, and thank goodness I decided on this. At first she was "mad" at me for attempting! Hahaha. Later on however, she got fond of her cut hair so she was playing with it while I do the cutting.

The new length is still long, just about half of her old hair length.

Her hair's so bouncy, full, and thick, I tell you! I just hope hers will remain that way so that she won't have to worry about how to prevent hair loss when she grows old, hahaha!

My next attempt would be to cut her hair shorter and to give her bangs. Wish me luck, hahahha!

Rediscovering Yoga

I started taking Yoga way back when it wasn't the "in" thing to do, that was sometime in college. There were very few classes offered and the prices were too inhibitive, so after a couple of sessions I just decided to buy some vcds and books and do yoga at home. For some reason I stopped doing this and only just once in a while did I remember going back to my "favorite" form of exercise and relaxation.

Now that I have some spare time in my hands and my belief in my need to tone my body and finding inner peace (NAKS!) I decided to start Yoga again. I'm still deciding on where to take classes (just a couple of sessions) because right now the schedule of the right type of yoga level for me does not jive with my "mommy" schedule. So again, I downloaded yoga videos (thanks torrent) and started my sessions at home.

And I am loving it!

I am still a work in progress again (somehow I became inflexible after years of not practicing) and a few poses are a challenge, but I am getting there. I really prefer my yoga sessions. I mean, time passes by quickly and before I know it, 1 1/2 hours have passed. Whereas droning (yep, droning) in the gym seemed like forever when I have only ran in the treadmill for 5 minutes. Hahahah. I still go to the gym, but no longer everyday. Twice a week at least, maximum of 1 hour. Yoga? Everyday.

Now all I need is to get myself this...

I've been slaving myself by not using one hahaha!

Elite's Irresponsibility

I have read somewhere an interesting blog post (shucks I forgot the blog site) on the seeming irresponsibility of the Philippines' elite. It states that the elite has played a big part in keeping the rich richer and the poor poorer. The elite used to have the responsibility of uplifting the lives of their fellowmen who have difficulty providing for their own families. However, because of greed and probably "self preservation of their wealth" the elite has neglected this social responsibility. Only a few of the rich families (who also dominate the political and business scene) have enough foundations to help the poor and if ever they do, these are not enough - more on giving money rather than finding ways on helping the poor uplift their lives. Yep, there are only quite a few philantrophers right now in our country. The uber-rich should probably look into richard willich philanthropy.

But I also think that it's not only the elite who should take action. All of us should. In our little ways, and I'm not talking about giving alms to the beggars on the streets. I myself am guilty of always dreaming about helping, but haven't done enough. I haven't fully unchained myself from the material temptations, which probably makes it even more difficult for me to commit myself more.

But that article also made me think about our responsibility, as citizens and as humans. Gash, deep reflection here, hahaha.

Vilebrequin is in Town!

As I strolled down Greenbelt 5, I happened to notice that Vilebrequin, the luxury men's (and boys') swimwear, is already in town! If that was there a long time ago, it just goes to show how long it has been since I last went there hahaha!

Anyway, I contemplated in getting the husband one for Valentine's Day (yeap, I'm cheesy like that).

he's gonna love this design... so him hahahha!

I gasped at the price though. Eeps! Hahaha! Maybe for Christmas or for his birthday. At least I have more time to save up! Guess I'll add this in my Wishlist!

Besides, if I were to spend that much, I'd rather gift him this too...

Hahahah! Another in my wishlist for the husband!
