Early Rant of the Week

Our blissful state is a bit marred by this irritating fact: our helper "suddenly got sick" and lo and behold. Instead of staying in, she decided to have a day off and stay at her folks' place in QC. She said she'd stay overnight. I told her that it's becoming her habit of having overnight day-offs and it's not even appropriate now since she said she was sick. She left Saturday morning, and we expected her to be back Sunday morning.

Well, it's Tuesday now and she's still not here. We call her up everyday and she said that she's still sick. I told her to go to the doctor instead of just self-medicating, even told her that she should have stayed here at least medical services and medicines will be free.

4 days of head-ache, cough, fever. I really snapped at her the other day, telling her that she was strong enough to leave while she was sick, she should be strong enough to come back even when she's sick. I know it's mean, but really, I think she's abusing our kindness and the fact that the husband is already here.

I really plan to not pay her for her vacation days and instead give the "shorthand pay" to our yaya.

Our helper, even though she has stayed long with us already (almost 4 years), is "deteriorating" in performance and it's not health-related. Everyday attached to her cellphone, sometimes not doing anything, and now this?

*sigh*

I guess there's always a small grey cloud amidst a clear blue sky.

Well, it's the same with my daughter's yaya. always at her celphone. I installed surveillance camera in the house. And warned her to refrain from using her celphone unless it emergency. One wrong move and she'll be deported to her hometown. Bwehehehehe!

hey van, i believe jane is letting go of one of her maids unless someone is willing to hire her. if not, maid goes back to province. not sure if anyone grabbed her already. jane downsized due to their temporary move into their condo. contact her if you're looking for someone new.
