Dreaming of My Own Company

Since I'm in dream-mode today, why not maximize it, right? Hahaha.

Anyways, I have finally decided that I would pursue studying Interior Design in PSID. This was after much thinking on what I really wanted. Tough considering that the other contenders were fashion design and culinary arts. So yup, that's the final answer. I will most likely start studying either towards the end of the year or early next year. Not immediately, as I have to prioritize Eanna's schooling first. But definitely, I will enroll her next year, morning session so that it will not be in conflict with my classes.

I'll complete the whole 2 years course, then set up my own interior design firm. Names... Atelier Pineda perhaps? hahaha. I gotta be more creative than that though. It's something that i really want to accomplish, and hopefully if the little girl in the future gets bitten by the design bug as well, she will "inherit" the business. Seems grand right? But hey, dream big, girl. Start small, but dream big. In the meantime, I don't have to worry yet about company stuff (registration, office location, appliances (do I need an epson receipt printer or should I just have them printed elsewhere?), or carpenters.

What I can do for now is continue exposing myself with design ideas (hello favorite design blogs) and maybe be more serious in reading the interior design free online course I joined a few months ago.

Still No News

Weeks have passed and there are still no news on our planned business proposal - do we get the bid or not? I am getting a bit anxious already after the initial excitement and sleepless nights. Yes, I was that excited. Too excited that my mind kept on thinking, working, planning, imagining, and dreaming on our possible business. The layout of the place, needed items (do we need a cash register? or should we be more modern and opt for barcode scanners?), what products to sell, etc.

I received a phone call from my agent and I thought that there would be news already, but no. Still, no confirmation. Ack. It's killing me. I want to know if we get the slot, or if I should just check out bags and get myself one (out of depression). Hahahaha.

Crossing our Fingers

This is it. Once we receive a positive response from the developer, a new venture begins. We are nervous and excited at the same time, but we know for sure that we should try and hopefully succeed, rather than not try and forever ask how it would have been if we proceeded.

Lord, we pray for yet another blessing. Thank you for all the gifts you have given to us, for all the opportunities that came, come, and will come along our way.

Business-Minded?

Friend J and I have been thinking of setting up a small business, you know, for extra income and all. It's a different set-up thought because she stays in Singapore while I, obviously, am here in Pinas. This has been a long plan of ours, because we thought about joint ventures even before she left for Singapore. Initially when I just got married we thought of being wedding stylists. That didn't push through. Then we later on thought of having an online site where we sell clothes that we both will design and manufacture. Feel! It didn't materialize as well. Sayang.

Now, we're thinking of selling perfumes at cheaper prices. May future noh? We also plan to sell other stuff, but we have yet to determine what would appeal to the market: personalized tote bags for all seasons, beauty products, home accessories, Greenpan items, Le Creuset cookware, etc etc.

We'll see where this takes us. In the meantime, she's a housewife, while I work. Nyahahaha.
