Mom's Retirement Plans

I spent my Sunday last week with my family, and it really felt like comfort food: it gave me that warm fuzzy feeling staying in a home where I grew up, with no care in the world and just doing my own thing.

Anyways, I had a chat with my Mom, and though I knew that deep inside there is this fear of uncertainty, I saw that she was looking forward to her retirement. She talked about pruning herself (hahaha) at home before thinking about what to do next. She talked about her European tour plans, one of which is her dream of visiting Prague:

She talked about buying a really nice Balenciaga bag (before retiring of course hahaha)

Though she will retire two years from now, as early as now I am already thinking about what to give her when she retires, looking at retirment gifts online to see which would suit her personality. Something simple, but meaningful of course. Party too? Hmm, maybe. We'll see. So I better save up for this!
