My whole abdomen was very painful yesterday noon time. It was a sudden pain that I endured the whole afternoon at the office. I didn't want to leave so I just tried not to think about it but it was really painful. Towards the end of the day I gave up, asked for medicine (I didn't earlier because I thought it was gonna go away), and as soon as the clock hit 5:30 I left. I just drove slowly and managed to get home after one hour of driving.
Then this morning I told myself I'll be going to work even if the pain is still there. But I got back to my senses and realized what if the pain will not subside, I'd be forced to stay in the office for 12 hours (yes this is my number coding day). That I don't want to risk. The office is so cold that yesterday both my abdomen and my back were hurting. If I go to the office now I'd be more sensitive to the cold and will most likely not function well.
So what happened to me yesterday after lunch? I honestly don't know. Care to investigate and come up with a theory? Here are the facts:
- I don't normally eat breakfast, but if I do, it's usually soft-boiled egg. I had that yesterday.
- In the office I drank water, which is normal right?
- Had lunch in Almon Marina and ordered soup (beef minestrone), fillet mignon with rice and steamed veggies, and Pellegrino Aranciata (sparkling juice). All normal food.
- When I went back to the office, I felt that it was too cold, colder than when I left.
- Brushed my teeth, gargled with Swish, you know, usual routine.
- Went back to my office.
- Then I felt the pain in my stomach. It was hard when I poked it.
- After a while, my back hurt.
- I endured this for 5 hours. I tried to burp just in case I was just "gas-y" but to no avail.
- I wasn't overly full. I was even hungry after 5 hours but the pain was still there.
- Took an antacid and went home.
- At home, I had dinner but my tummy was still aching.
- Actually, it's more like my ribs are aching.
*Sigh*
I really hope I'd get well soon. Again, I want to go to the office while the window time is in effect but I'm scared what if the pain worsens again and I'm stuck in the office for 7 hours or more?

Hi Ina!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Actually last night I couldn't take the pain so i went to the ER and was diagnosed with GERD / ulcer-like dispeptia (dunno how to spell it). I was given Maalox and Omepron and advised bed rest for 1 more day plus go to a gastro-entorologist.
I feel a little better now but I still have to go to the doctor for follow-up check.
thanks again!
